  I remember Serge Bombail; my teacher smoked cigars and read the newspaper in class! We were the only foreign children in the school.

• ECOLE LA PRAIRIE

   -  Toulouse

  I think this school was knocked down when they built 'La Rocade' which, as I remember, was the new main route bypassing Toulouse. It was in a very old building and I remember there were also nuns there. It was approached by a very long avenue of trees and I remember my maths teacher, Madame Bacon who wore bright red lipstick!

• CES JEAN JAURES

   -  Castanet tolosan

  I remember lots of people; the headmaster mr benichou, twins Solange and Isabelle Huc, Christine Chabazian, Serge Bombail, Mercadal, Alaux. I think that this school no longer exists as it was. I was in 5eme, 4eme and 'admise en trioisieme' when we moved to Holland. Castanet was a much smaller village then but my schooldays in France were the best!
